We are a local family run business, who believe a memorial is the last gift you can give to someone so it needs to be done right. The new generation of workers have proven to be innovative in their approach and are all trained with in their chosen field. Here are Murray Memorials we are the only Masons, who prior to fixing a memorial, lay the foundations first, then leave to set before putting the memorial up. We do not use bathroom silicon or other DIY adhesives, wood glue or any sub standard material that some masons in your area are using. We have repaired over 5000+ badly fitted memorials for local councils and the public in the last 15 years.
We have large showrooms in Gateshead, Consett and Sunderland, but also provide services throughout the Newcastle and Durham area.
Murray Memorials design work and lettering is frequently copied by other masons, but like all copies they are never as good as the original. Proving that we are a head in our game. We do however take it as a compliment that other masons try to copy our work. Visit our wall of shame.

Murray Memorials is a local family run business, who are NAMM accredited. Two of our staff are NAMM RQMF assessors (assess monumental masons to see if they are fixing to NAMM standards). We have recently assessed four masons who work for the war graves commission. We are also City and Guilds qualified to assess the safety of headstones. We will guide you step by step with care and attention in creating a lasting tribute. You will be part of each step and your thoughts and ideas will engraved in to the memorial.
